Saturday walk in Tatra Mountains
I'm planning to do some hiking this Saturday with my friends in Tatra Mountains and I was wondering if anybody would be interested in joining me. We plan to start at 9am from Zakopane and go to Black Lake on the Polish side of Tatra. The road takes about 2h (about 7km) one way so the total time with some rest and lunch time on our way will take around 5-6h. The expected time of return to Zakopane is around 3-4pm.
From Cracow and surrounding cities you can get easily to Zakopane by bus. From Cracow it takes around 2-2,5h to get to Zakopane. More info about bus connection you can find here:
Below you can find description of the road to Black Lake
The cost of entering Tatra National Park is 5PLN and the cost of bus from Zakopane Bus Station to the point of start is about additional 5PLN.
Since it’s mountain trip you need to have with you: Food and drink for whole day trip (there will be one place on our way where you can buy something additional), good hiking shoes (it’s only autumn but high in the Tatra there is already snow), rain jacket and some warm clothes (in the valleys where is shadow is pretty cold). The weather forecast says for Saturday about 16 degrees and plenty of sun but up in the mountains will be much cooler and the weather is changing fast.
Anybody interested just let me know if you have some additional questions just drop me a message.
Let's meet at 9:00 before the main entrance to Bus Station
See you at Saturday
