Eat an Apple Pie while Deciding whether LearningGreek isWorthIt
This event is dedicated to the μηλόπιτα , which is the Greek apple pie .
As the strength of resolution is tested by " adult " life circumstances Protected content interplay of contesting social economies ) , it seems to be getting harder for our expat friends to make a decisive commitment to the foreign language which might still seem all Greek to them . . .
" Is Commitment worth it ? " the Eternal question .
I remember , how as an expat myself, and in the occasionally identical straits, my great consolation and redeemer was the Greek μηλόπιτα as rendered with such exquisite simplicity and goodness at the Nova Gea establishment .
Nothing chases " the expat blues " like a simple treat of the Greek μηλόπιτα with a cup of coffee .
Passive relaxation, and a therapeutic self-nurture routine, can be an *excellent* way to stimulate new perspective, inspiration, and idealism when the dominant plethora seem to be the man-made straits of modern life and living to which there are no easy, far less,
" instantaneous " routes of resolution . " When life seems to say 'No', say ' YES ' by enjoying a milopita! "
As the aforementioned modern straits are unlikely to discontinue ( the herd mindset dies hard ) , and as society and mankind has to foot the costs one way or another, the μηλόπιτα seems like a *true* humanistic tribute to our modest associational symposium .
No need to bemoan the downside in initiative by yourself, but rather, choose to make it cathartic for yourselves, by opening your hearts to other expats and Greek friends, while seeking the necessary inspiration by which to decide to commit to the study of Greek in your own right Protected content with our association, or by yourself, or by paying down the social cost in more hierarchical environments, from whence the solipsism originally began . . . ) . ∞
Beyond the * Protected content * Eclipse ,
- Yours in Eternal Goodwill ,
