A unique lecture in Greek for decoding the Ancient Greek sculptures (only for Greek speakers) to support the cause of Niroi
Entrance with donation (suggested amount minimum 5 euros)

The statues (agalmata in Greek), especially those that represent the Gods show us a mystic body language which is lost today. This language would transmit information and knowledge of higher importance to those who observed the statues with attention.
The ancient Greek statues (agalmata) were created in this symbolic way. In this presentation-workshop we will explain the language of these sculptures and how we can see them through another perspective when we visit museums in Greece or all around the world. Each agalma (statue-sculpture) as a 3dimensional creation was presented to the people with the purpose of speaking directly to the soul of each observer, resulting in their feelings of joy, excitement and admiration!

Speaker Yiorgos Lathiris
He is the director of Heliodromion cultural and educational center. He is a tutor of Ancient Greek language, history and philosophy and he has written and translated several books about Greek language and heritage.
