The Jungle Book – At Botanischer Garten Berlin
The theater company ‘Drehbühne Berlin’ is staging a spectacular theater safari in the tropics of the Berlin Botanical Garden in autumn Protected content "The Jungle Book".
In contrast to Disney's animated cartoon or the remake from April Protected content , the Drehbühne Berlin is based on the original text of the British writer and poet Rudyard Kipling in its implementation of the animal poem. The story is told by Mowgli, a child of an Indian villager who, after a Tiger attack in the jungle, is separated from his parents and escapes to the wolves. Taken from these, the human boy will find new animal friends and must go on many adventures with them. With it are u.a. Panther Baghira, Bear Balu, Tiger Schir Khan and Giant Python Kaa.
In the footsteps of Mowgli:
In the lush green backdrop of the tropical houses, the spectators are invited to an exciting theater safari to follow in the footsteps of Mogli. At various expedition stations individual episodes of the jungle book are performed with big dolls, presented by actors, cinematically or via installation in scene and musically accompanied. Film and theater star Kai Wiesinger was won for the role of the author Rudyard Kipling.
Jungle feeling in the botanical garden:
In order for each guest to see all parts of the story on his ramble through the botany, the game scenes are repeated several times within the approximately two-hour theater event.
The performance starts at 6 pm and will be in German.
