Felix Mendelssohn Free concert for Orchestra
I am pleased to invite you to this wonderful concert by the Accademia di Santa Sofia chamber orchestra.
The symphony number 12 in G minor for strings of Felix Mendelssohn and the Brandenburg concert number 6 in B flat major of Johan Sebastian Bach will be performed in a new fascinating location to be discovered: Palazzo Firenze usually closed to the public !
Palazzo Firenze, for a long time the seat of the Grand Duchy of Tuscany in Rome, with its prestige hosts the seat of the Dante Alighieri Society, a precious institution that deals with the diffusion of the Italian language in the world. Built in several stages, it still offers the visitor its Renaissance aspect, interesting internal courtyards, a succession of rooms and small rooms full of frescoes, stuccos and refined carvings.
The Accademia di Santa Sofia chamber orchestra combines very high consolidated professionalism with brilliant emerging talents, in an ensemble of extraordinary artistic quality with the interpretation of the solo violins :
Francesco Solombrino and Antonio Mastroianni,
Marco Serino, Alina Taslavan, Emanuele Procaccini, Francesco Norelli, Alessia Avagliano, Valentina Del Re and Alessandra Rigliari, and the solo cellos Gianluca Giganti and Alfredo Pirone.
I look forward to sharing with you a beautiful evening of music in a context of art and history !
