Canasta is a card game of rummy origins. The game is played with two standard decks. The aim for each team is to gather specific series of cards, retaining as least unused cards as possible in the end, and "go out" at a tactically chosen moment.
The standard setup of a Canasta game is four players divided in two teams. Variations of two-, three-, five- or six-player games (where teams can consist of only a single player, or up to a trio) allow for the game to be easily adapted for companies of different shapes and sizes.

The game will be held in the traditional arena for IN card battles: the Library bar at Belge. Drinks, basic snacks, and good company will be available.
The lack of previous experience in the game won't be a constraint. Learners are always welcome!
