Join me in the celebration of Nowruz 1397, the New Year festival
All tickets are sold out as of yesterday, March 28th.. So shutting out this event now , unfortunately, for any future attendees.
You can check out the "Sold Out" status of this event in the following link:
Please read carefully the instructions below:
Please purchase your ticket online first by clicking on the following link:
and only then sign up here for attendance. If you are found to have signed up here before purchasing your ticket then you will not be considered part of this event and you will be on your own to manage your attendance in this event. The reason for this is taking out the hassle and the stress of managing attendees seating arrangement at the venue when people don't show up despite signing up here and finding it out from the organizers that the absent ones didn't purchase the tickets in the first place despite signing up in the internations event page. So going forward, by default, whoever signs up in this event, I will automatically assume that they have purchased the ticket online as instructed above.
As of March 20, 50% of the total ticket have been already sold out and as such, if you are serious about attending this event, I will request you to purchase your ticket as soon as possible to avoid dissapointment for waiting till the last day as most likely all tickets will get sold out before the event day of March 31st., Saturday.
Copying from the host's facebook event page below:
Pillars for Afghanistan would like to extend a warm invitation to everyone to come and join us in celebrating the Persian New Years! Celebrated in places like Albania, Azerbaijan, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, the Iraqi Kurdistan, Tajikistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Pakistan, Turkmenistan and of course Afghanistan, it marks the beginning of Spring and the rebirth of nature.
Please join us and experience a day of Afghan hospitality as there will be food, music, performances and activities for all to participate in."
About the host "The Pillars Of Afghanistan" from their web site:
"Pillars for Afghanistan is a fundraising initiative established by students from the University of Calgary and Mount Royal University. Our group was born in response to the Kabul city bombing on May 31st, Protected content . At least Protected content were reported, along with Protected content , which left the global Afghan community in complete devastation.
Many families lost their sole breadwinners and are newly at risk of becoming victims of a cycle of poverty that begins with violence and turmoil. As a result, the affected communities become disempowered with dampers to their growth and progress.
We believe that if we can sustain these families temporarily during this critical time, they will be able to stabilize themselves financially as they deal with the trauma of losing their loved ones. We understand that this is not a long-term solution to the social and political issues in Afghanistan; however, it may prevent families from immediately falling into the cycle of poverty that continually haunts our country."
Hope to see you in this event to celebrate a great centuries old cultural tradition that is followed as far away as in Albania in South east Europe to Afghanistan and Pakistan in South Asia.
