Ready to Join?

Hello internations art affectionados. It is safe to assume that by May 5th, Saturday, spring will have to finally arrive in town to warrant this leisurely walk outside to join me in this free event where we will visit each of the eight galleries as shown in this schedule below, to hear prominent artists, curators and critics speak.

Please click the link below to find the name of the galleries , their addresses and the schedule to visit them. If anybody needs a ride from downtown or inglewoods area , please let me know. I can fit in 3 people in my car. As you will notice, most of the locations after the first one are not too far from each other with some as close as a few blocks in or near downtown which we will cover mostly by walking. That will be a great excercise for a day too, a bonus, don't you think !!:)). Somewhere along the way, we will have a brief stop over for a quick lunch break.

Please check the link below for the schedule, name and address of the eight galleries.

I have done this tour before, in last summer with a meet up group and was greatly satisfied with the diverse and quality art collections this city has which has forced me to rethink and reassess my long held , publicly influenced impression about this city as a cultural backwaters landscape more appropriately called , arguably "The Stampede City" by some. Well, rather than getting into that kind of controversial arguement whether it may have any merit or not, I will be curious to know after coming out from completing this art galleries tour ,if some of you may experience a similar transformation in terms of your outlook and impression about the city that we call home now, for better or worse.

Hope to see a lot of you there in what I wish for, would be a bright sunny typical spring day in Alberta. :)). If it does not turn out that way, well, just don a good waterproof spring windbreaker and something to cover you head and you will be doing just fine , like I did last year, lol :)).

Cheers !!
