Nothin' beats winter like the Blues -Calgary Midwinter Bluesfest
Hello InterNations live Blues Music fans. It is that time of the year again. Unfortunately I personally will not be able to attend most of this weeklong events except the one that I am posting now. However if there is a volunteer member of this group who wants to host any event, he or she will be welcome to do so.
I am copying the detailed info. below from the organizer's website:
Nothin' beats winter like the Blues! A full week of workshops, public performances, concerts and a dance party will chase the blahs away!
TAS CRU, guitarist, composer and one of the most unique Bluesmen on the scene today; SUZIE VINNICK & TONY D, two of Canada's leading Blues musicians pair for one dynamite performance; ELLEN MCILWAINE, Calgary's own Goddess of slide guitar; and ROOSTER DAVIS, who will rock our Mardi Gras Bash with their New Orleans flavour.
Also featured: Elsie Osborne, who will conduct our Vocal Camp; Debra Power Trio, who will accompany singers for Vocal Camp Part 2; and John Rutherford, who will host our Walk Through Blues History event.
