We will be visiting two museums in Quito and one in San Rafael’s valley. There will be activities of networking while traveling, so don’t forget to bring your personal and/or business cards to get to know each other.

For lunch, we will make a stop in Sangolqui. We will visit “Hornados Dieguito” (delicious oven cooked Ecuadorian pork). And for the vegetarians there will also an option to choose.

We will sending the options (typical ecuadorian food / vegetarian and vegan food), so you can book and pay your order in the bus, so we can order ahead on time. Cost not included.

We recommend taking water and some snacks for the rest of the day.

One of the most important collections of the city and of the country are in Oswaldo Viteri’s “casa-taller” (home-workshop), located on the north of Quito. Pre-Columbian art, “Escuela Quiteña” pieces, popular art, are exhibited here.

The privilege of wandering around his live museum, sometimes the painter himself will walk us through the countless treasures he has managed to collect along decades.

A cultural center inspired by an Inca temple in the top section of the Bellavista neighborhood in Quito. It`s the “Capilla del Hombre” (The Chapel of Man) that houses the life`s work of painter Oswaldo Guayasamin. This great Ecuadorean master wanted to do homage to human beings in all their facets and emotions. Unfortunately, Guayasamin did not live to enjoy its inauguration in Protected content .

Also we will also include a visit to his residence where he has an impressive collection of religious art and outstanding pieces from world’s masters.

Twenty minutes from Quito takes to get to the excellent “Museo de la Casa de Kingman”. Occupying a peaceful spot high on the banks of the Río San Pedro, this was the house of Eduardo Kingman, one of Ecuador’s greatest twentieth-century artists.
Kingman is best known for depicting the privation of Ecuador’s indigenous peoples, often capturing their plight in the expressiveness of their hands – a technique he later taught Oswaldo Guayasamín. There are some wonderful pieces exhibited here that support Kingman’s considerable reputation, as well as some colonial and republican art.
