Autumn in Krakow's Most Famous City Park
The Planty – most recognizable and remarkable Krakow’s green area which marks the place of former medieval city’s fortifications which were demolished at the beginning of XIX c.
It is a green belt which surrounds the Old Town and tells us the story of Krakow and its inhabitants.
It is three kilometres of public parks and gardens filled with beautiful flowers, old trees, benches and historic monuments strewn around the Planty. Walking its circuit is a great way to see the Old Town from the other perspective and aslo a nice place to have a cup of coffe at one one of its charming cafes :)
