Let's Learn some Lugandan in an African Venue in Style
Let's plough the depths to learn about the wonderful Ugandan language and culture.
BEFORE THE EVENT:
(1) You MUST make or purchase an inexpensive but meaningful arts/craft gift that you will exchange at the end of the evening with another participant. This is your ticket in the door to this event. You have 2 weeks to purchase or make this so NO EXCUSES will be accepted so we can all enjoy the spirit of the event.
(2) Try, if possible, to come in Ugandan traditional dress. Men can buy a KANZO cheaply near Capital shoppers opposite Nakasero Market. Traditional attire for women, can be purchased along Luwum street and some shopping arcades in town. Have some fun with this!
The restaurant has an extensive menu from which you may order. We expect all members to come with an appetite and willingness to sample some of Ugandan's most traditional food and drink. Members will pay for what they consume and apply required taxes and tip.
Joseph and Regina have kindly offered to take the lead by helping us all to learn a few important phrases in Lugandan. This, and the art/craft you receive from another member will be things we will take with us to remember this important event!
AFTER THE EVENT:
Members are free to organise any other outing after about 10:30. Clubbers can go out and boogie, Shisha smokers can hit the Turkish restaurant or some of you might want to call it an early night. So that all can continue the party if they wish, please let others know what you and your groups are doing following the event.
Sorry, but you are not allowed to join this Activity Group!
We are afraid that you cannot join, because the Consuls have limited access to this Activity Group.
If you would like to explore other InterNations Activities in your Local Community, please have a look at this overview page.
