Beauties and Beasts
Dear Art Lovers,
Christie’s presents the exhibition “Beauties and Beasts: Making and Collecting Art in Germany” during the Gallery Weekend. Selected artworks from a two thousand year history of art and craft are examined in terms of beauty and a fascination with horror. Around 50 artworks mostly from private collections will be shown, including works by Gerhard Richter, Neo Rauch, Joseph Beuys, Otto Dix, Max Pechstein and Albrecht Dürer, to craft work such as Augsburger Silver, to antique works and Chinese art. Let’s share this wonderful opportunity. After the exhibition visit we may go for a drink or bite to eat.
Looking forward to meeting you. Stuart/Melanie
Note: The entrance is located on Mohrenstrasse.
