The price of bread in our decade is more similar throughout the world in our decade than in any other historical period. This indicates that we are becoming one single market, un single global organism.

Technological progress and the ease of quick transport conspire to create a truly globalised world; however, we are living in very polarised times – never in the history of humanity have we seen such an enormous gap between the rich and poor of the planet.

At the same time we are seeing many political movements: Brexit, Trump, etc., that derive their strength from creating a strong distinction between the “good” and the “bad” humans.

Why are we seeing such contradictions? Are we headed for a 100% globalised world, or a world about to shatter into thousands of factions?

We’ll get together and with coffee or other beverage in hand talk to other human beings that are as passionate as ourselves about finding answers.

Some subjects we’ll touch on:

• Globalisation – its causes and effects
• Is integration an unstoppable process?
• Rebellion against globalism – the new norm?
• Our future – a more fragmented or more standardised world?

Upon finishing the get-together, we will have enhanced our understanding of globalisation and its contrarian movements and explored scenarios for the future.
