Social Media: Blessing or Curse? (In English)
We’re participating in an experiment, whether you like it or not, and we’re not the scientists, we’re the lab rats. The experiment is exposing our children, ourselves, our entire society to live and interact in social networks.
How can we thrive on the benefits brought about by social networks without selling “the soul” of our humanity?
We’ll get together in front of our screens and with coffee or other beverage in hand talk to other human beings that are as passionate as ourselves about finding answers.
Some subjects we’ll touch on:
•Addiction to social networks – have we fallen into the trap?
•Current teenagers – generation zombie?
•Networks – the tyranny of attention?
•The politics of rage and couch activism
•Civilized conversations – a dying breed?
•How much time can we focus on one single thing?
•Our privacy – a thing of the past?
•Social media as the great opportunity of our times
•And so much more!
Upon finishing the get-together, we will talked about the good and bad of social media, their presence in our lives and how to make the most of them and limit the suffering they cause.
