Exploring moral and ethical dilemmas can be a great training ground for making common life decisions. Many of our major decisions in life are moral or ethical in nature — questions that challenge us with a choice of how to decide when each side contains a compelling argument:

●Ethical choices refer to codes of conduct that are dictated by the society. (Hippocratic oath in Medicine, attorney-client privilege in the legal profession etc.)
●Moral choices refers to personal belief systems. These differ from one individual to another.

Learning about moral and ethical dilemmas can help train us to think about moral priorities. When two important values are in clash, which one is more important?

Some subjects we’ll touch on:

•Is morality relative or absolute?
•Your life and how it’s been shaped by ethical/moral decisions
•How do we resolve ethical and moral conflicts?
•Is the Universe moral?
•Should morality extend to all life including animals, plants, ecosystems
•Should AI and algorithms also be expected to be moral and ethical?
•And so much more!

Upon finishing the get-together, we will have explored many ethical and moral dilemmas, both hypothetical and from our real lives, and reflected on the role or morality in our lives.
