Let's photograph an impressive tradition
Undoubtedly, one of the most representative places in Mexico to experience the Day of the Dead is San Andres Mixquic. The Mixquic pantheon is covered with flowers and candle lights, families make great altars and offerings for their deceased. This place served as inspiration for the movie called COCO.
The plan is:
Visit some offerings in Mixquic houses.
Visit the Pantheon with light, to photograph the ornaments.
Visit the Church and the museum.
Photograph the pantheon at nightfall when it is illuminated with candles.
As a custom, the residents of Mixquic make food for the guests and we have been invited to a house to have a meal.
Be ready for traffic jam and a lot of crowd.
Wear comfortable clothes, as the cars will surely be park at 10 or 20 minutes walking from the Pantheon.
Try not to bring huge bag or stuff.
Bring some cash for souvenirs and as well as if you like tu go up to the roof of the houses near the Pantheon to have a better view some resident ask for a cheap donation.
And the most important bring your mobile phone or camera with fully charged battery.
We will arrange Carpool and cooperate with with gas, tolls and parking costs, so please let me know how many could bring a Car.
