The square Colette is bordered to the north and east by the Palais-Royal (to the north with the Comédie-Française and to the east by the Council of State), to the south by the Rue Saint-Honoré which separates it from the Louvre hotel, and to the west by Rue de Richelieu. The mouth of the Palais Royal - Louvre metro station, known as the "Kiosque des noctambules", designed in Protected content Jean-Michel Othoniel, is located on this square.

The Jardin du Palais-Royal is a large Parisian square of 20,850 m2 located in the 1st arrondissement of Paris and built in Protected content the center of the Palais-Royal. The garden is labeled "Remarkable Garden".

The garden is wanted by Cardinal Richelieu to ornament the Palais Royal and is made by Pierre Desgotz, the king's gardener. The palace and the garden are bequeathed to Louis XIII at the death of the cardinal and the royal family settles there. It is modified under Charles X to give it its current appearance, with the galleries and paths of the aisles.

Let's discover it, now "sous la pluie de Paris".
We will meet at 11am at the square Colette to walk low arcades surrounding and admiring this wonderful Parisian jewel full of shops of the time. If you wish, you can bring your own picnic to share together protected from the rain, in Galerie Vivienne, built in Protected content is one of the most emblematic Parisian galleries.

For those who want to extend the walk, I suggest an unusual walk to discover other passages that are not far: These are superb covered galleries, full of charm and authenticity, which housed shops in the 19th century and are part of the heritage of Paris. Real little jewels to discover or re-discover.
