During this session, Zoramar Oviedo (Venezuela) will present techniques of full attention or mindfulness. The application of these techniques in the workplace will optimize your all-important soft skills: effective stress management, cognitive and emotional flexibility, creativity and resilience, communication, teamwork, and will also help you cope with change in an effective manner.
If applied companywide, these competencies will have a positive impact on the professional performance, health and well being of employees and staff, and will also have a favorable impact on the achievement of corporate results and goals.
In today’s world, in order to be a successful entrepreneur, leader or collaborator, you need to develop the techniques and tools that will allow you to have a creative and positive attitude towards challenges and opportunities. You will also need to consciously handle higher levels of stress, constantly face changes in your roles and responsibilities, and safeguard your physical, mental and social health.
Mindfulness will be a valuable resource in order to become a successful, mindful leader.
This mini-workshop will be conducted in Spanish.

Zoramar is a psychologist and currently works as consultant in marketing research, as well as in mindfulness and health. A specialist in marketing and integrated communications, Zoramar has training in: cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) in Mindbody Medicine with Jon Kabat-Zinn and Saki Santorelli (USA), MBSR with D. Potter, MBSR Instructor (USA) and MBSR in Yogavital (Colombia).
She has led research projects in companies such as Colgate-Palmolive, PepsiCo, SC Johnson & Son, Kellogg, Mondelez International, HERMO, Pfizer Laboratories and Venezuela Polar Brewery. Zoramar has also been a mindfulness coach at Colgate-Palmolive, EPK, Telefónica-Movistar, Dale Carnegie, Century XXI, BECO, Banesco, IESA (School of Management), Metropolitan University (Venezuela) and Colegio Cumbres (Colombia).
A big ‘thank you’ to InterNations member Paula Fernández for suggesting this activity and making the introduction with Zoramar.

Please note that we will be starting at 6:30 p.m. You are encouraged to arrive at least a few minutes earlier, so that we can start on time (this will also allow you to take advantage of the informal networking!).

This talk will be in Spanish.
