We Will Go for Portuguese Wine (With or Without ProWein)
As you might have heard, ProWein got cancelled (or at least postponed to a later time of the year) due to precautions taken because of the spread of Coronavirus.
This will have some consequence for the setup of our Portuguese wine tasting on March 14: Miguel Pinho and Isabel Vieira won't come to Düsseldorf, however the tasting will go ahead, run by Cellar Master Carlos Quintas himself.
---------------------------- Protected content
March is the month when ProWein comes to town - and this year we were lucky to get 2 wine makers invited from Portugal, making a detour from the ProWein Fair to Carlos Quintas's wine cellar to present a selection of their wines. During the tasting we will also learn a lot about their approach of winemaking.
(1) Miguel Pinho - Quinta da Pedra, Colinas, Paço da Palmeira:
Quinta da Pedra (Alvarinho) and Paço da Palmeira (Loureiro) are two top Vinho Verde producers (owned by Dr. Carlos Dias).
Sparkling wines from Colinas will get us started into the evening, among them an Espumante made from Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier.
(2) Isabel Vieira - Bulas:
Bulas has been a family property for Protected content and got famous as port wine supplier to the British. Hence we will try some tasty ports from their rich portfolio.
Please note that this is a pre-paid event, i. e. once you've signed up you will receive a message about the prepayment details. Only those having paid in time prior to the event will be granted access.
