Personal Test Day
If you're like me, you've been wearing only sweat pants and leggins for the past couple of weeks. Comfortable, eh? They sure are perfect for working from home setting. The stretchy fabric however hides the expanding waist line unfortunately well. That change creeps up easier than you think during these times when it's difficult to include enough normal movement and exercise into our days. Our lives have been confined into small indoor spaces, and normal activities such as walking from the parking lot to the office have been stripped from us. You can vacuum only so many times in a day, right??
One easy way to find out if you've been impacted by the corona confinement is The Jeans Test, which I invite everyone to do once a week. The test is easy and takes only a minute of your time. Follow these easy steps:
1. Go to your closet
2. Pull out the last pair of jeans you wore before stay-at-home orders
3. Put the jeans on
4. If the jeans fit, you're doing great! Continue doing what you have been doing.
5. If the jeans have started to feel tight, bring (more) movement back to your life. All you need is a phone/computer to watch the videos from, floor and comfortable clothes.
There are no excuses.
