Beach and Waterfalls Hike @Point Reyes [Moderate]
Let's check out one of my favorite hikes in the bay area!
What if I told you, you can walk right up to a waterfall that falls onto a beach? You’ll also have to walk along a scenic coastal path. And play on a beach.
But you know what else….it’s freaking INCREDIBLE!! As with the most extraordinary hikes, this is one where the view is certainly worth the effort.
It's about 15 miles round trip and Protected content elevation gain roundtrip. So plan for a full day of fun. Cover pic and blooming flowers are from my trip on March 30th. Falls should be raging again now with the recent rains, not so sure about the blooming flowers.
This is a day hiking trip and I am backpacking there. For those interested in backpacking, message me. I know this overlaps with the Mt Tam event but I was able to score a last minute permit for this site.
Dress in layers, bring food/hydration, and treats for the organizer ;). Sturdy shoes also help. Dogs are not allowed on any trails in Point Reyes and I have seen people getting ticketed and escorted out.
We follow trail etiquettes and LNT.
Rain or shine :)
