Medieval Utrecht Free Tour
The Middle Ages were anything but dark in Utrecht: until Protected content , Utrecht was the biggest city of the Northern Netherlands and still today, much of the old city reminds us of that fascinating time.
On this tour, they will cover the influence of the Vikings on Utrecht, the Teutonic Knights and the guilds of Utrecht (both still active today), the medieval Dutch version of Romeo and Juliet, and many other interesting stories. They will show us beautiful buildings, castles and walls, hidden in plain sight! They will give us tips on how to survive the harsh living conditions of medieval Europe!
"Utrecht Free Tours" is a group of volunteers who provide free tours around Utrecht in English. The tour is free but if you want to give the guide a tip after the tour, then it is up to you. They don't ask for it.
PLEASE MAKE SURE TO BE THERE 15 MINUTES BEFORE THE START OF THE TOUR. THE TOUR BEGINS EXACTLY AT 10.00. THUS I CAN'T POSTPONE THE TIME IF YOU ARE LATE.
After the tour we can go together for a lunch if we felt like it.
Feel free to contact me for any questions.
