Let's Share: Books and Stories That Feature Food
December is all about celebration and sharing, but also about food. Let's combine the two and talk about stories authors who skillfully use food in their stories.
Be it a short story, like Roald Dahls 'Lamb to Slaughter', or one where the food isn't in the centre, yet an essential part of the storytelling (Enid Blython's 'The Famous Five' come to mind).
We can talk about the role of food in storytelling and whether it helps show the characters, settings and the culture.
This meeting will be online (ZOOM link will appear an hour before the event). Feel free to bring a snack, especially if talking - you're welcome to bring a snack, as not to get too hungry when talking about food.
