With the temperature hitting double digits it’s a perfect opportunity to start exploring the outdoors again.

We will kick off our walk at the Union canal in Fountainbridge. The canal runs all the way from the city centre, through the outskirts of Edinburgh, over the Scott Russell viaduct and I to the picturesque village of Ratho.

The traffic free route takes in 8 miles of tree lined towpath leading to the quaint Bridge Inn pub where we can enjoy some well-earned refreshments.

A table has been booked at the pub for 12:45 and after a drink/ some food we make our way back to Edinburgh.

PLEASE NOTE: the walk takes about 2. Protected content so please only sign up if you are comfortable walking this length at a moderate pace. Everyone will be responsible to ensure they are wearing the appropriate footwear and have water with them. You will also be responsible for planning and arranging your return route/trip back to the city.
