Ron Fricke (known from Baraka ) filmed for five years, in twenty-five countries and on five continents to make this overwhelming journey around the world. A lyrical portrait of the relationship between man and his environment. Where the first film of our series, Voyage of Time, is about the beginning and the end of life, Samsara shows what we are in the middle of now. Ron Fricke points out how faith, ideology and technology dictate all our lives in one way or another. In this way Samsara shows with a bold look how inequality has become an inseparable part of our world.
