Sandstone Sculptures Galore!
Join us for a moderate 12-kilometer loop hike through pine forests starting and ending in Liběchov. Along the way we will discover various creations, including the famous Devil’s Heads, sculpted by Václav Levý in the Protected content .
Overall the hike is pretty gentle with Protected content of gain and loss. There is one short steep bit to get up to the Devil’s Heads. It is also steep coming down. If you have trekking poles, I would recommend them for this short section, but they are not necessary. Suitable hiking boots or trail shoes are a must as are clothes to keep you warm and dry. Bring water, a packed lunch/trail snacks, and possibly a thermos of warm tea or coffee.
The hike itself should take 3 ½ to 4 ½ hours depending on our pace and how much exploring of the sculptures the group wants to do. After the hike we will head to Mělník by bus for burgers and craft beers/sodas.
