An influential film with English subtitles, made in Germany in Protected content .. This too was held back, so the American films of Frankenstein and Dracula, could be screened first.
Slatted on release and doomed by poor box office, film revisionists have been kind, to what would now be referred to as a 'sleeper hit'
Slow but atmospheric pacing, mark it out as a product of its time, But this just adds to the moodiness of the production. In some books this is considered a classic of the genre.
ANYWAY .. Silly nit, goes vampire hunting, .. expecting .. what?
