If you want to learn more about what GDPR is and how you protect your privacy online, our next activity is just for you. During this activity, our privacy expert Jonas Kuckling will deliver a talk titled: "If you want to know a man you can either walk a mile in his shoes - or track his every step online".
Short description of the talk: (Online) data privacy has become more and more important to many people. Additionally, the GDPR and recent scandals, such as the Facebook and Cambridge Analytica scandal have helped to raise awareness about the issue. This talk is supposed to be a beginners introduction to data privacy. It will give you an overview of what personal data is, who is collecting it and what it is used for, and what you can do to protect your data. This talk will not be a handbook for "digital self-defense", "going off the grid", or living your life without leaving any data behind. Instead, it should raise awareness about data privacy and help you find a balance that fits your needs.
