“I was told there would be cake” (Art Exhibition)
Four young international artists, Andreas Behn-Eschenburg (Switzerland), Inga Meldere (Latvia), Brendan Moran (New Zealand) and Sebastian Reis (Austria), are opening their joint exhibition “I was told there would be cake”.
The exhibition demonstrates the importance of the role the image has in the process of these four artists’ work, which share a discussion about the properties of its making and its levels and frequencies. Behn-Eschenburg, Meldere, Moran and Reis are all completing their Master’s degree at the Finnish Academy of Fine Arts (Uniarts Helsinki) in the subject area of painting.
Unfortunately I cannot attend myself, but there you have the opportunity to meet the artists, have some wine and discuss art with international artists and art students. Free entry!
