Join together and support those who lost everything. We are asking you all to come together and help our Florida Keys neighbors. Some of us overbought food and canned goods as we prepared for this storm to hit and now are wondering what to do with it all. We can all get together and talk about our own experiences as we struggled through this past week. If you have any unused goods to donate, we are collecting food, clothes and supplies to help those most affected by this deadly storm.

90% of the homes in the Keys have been destroyed or damaged. Thousands of residents don’t have electricity, food, clean drinking water or even clean clothes. 25% have been completely destroyed.
Parts of the Florida Keys are still inaccessible as officials test bridges to make sure they are safe.

Hurricane Irma evacuees are returning to Florida to find their homes ripped apart and flooded by the devastating storm - and millions face a long road of recovery ahead. The Florida Keys were largely evacuated by the time Irma barreled ashore on Sunday as a Category 4 hurricane with sustained winds of up to Protected content Protected content .

Aerial footage from around the state reveals the sheer damage residents face, as roofs tore off buildings, mobile homes toppled over, and trees uprooted and smashed into houses during the massive storm.

While nearly all of Florida was engulfed by the Protected content Protected content storm, the Keys - home to about 70,000 people - appeared to be the hardest hit.

To my InterNations Family, I hope you have regained power to your homes and the surrounding business. It may take a few weeks for us all to feel normal again. Let's come together, do something for others, and share our experiences with each other.
