Stop and Smell the Flowers: The Columbia Flower Market
If you want to take a walk that will put a smile on your face, then come along this Sunday to explore the Columbia Flower Market. As we go from one stall to the next, you'll see and smell all sorts of plants. It can be crowded at times but people are especially civilised - I suspect that's what happens when you're surrounded by that much natural beauty.
Protected content walk to the market, explore it awhile and then find a place for a nice cafe and maybe a meal if people are up for it. I'm currently gathering intelligence on what place serves good coffee and maybe late breakfast!
I also need to actually buy a few plants because I'm trying to encourage my office to make one of their balconies more bee friendly. If you know anything about bees, or what plants they may like, please come along and educate me.
The market is free to go to... but I suspect like me you may get an irresistible urge to get a plant of some kind!
