Holiday Lights Walking Tour - History of Midtown (Outdoor)
Greetings New York Connect members-
It's time to celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah and the New Year as Midtown Manhattan lights up like no other place in the world. Mechanical window displays, synchronized light and sound shows, not to mention Santa Claus and toy soldiers surely await you in this winter wonderland. How it works:
You MUST send a message confirming your RSVP
Space is limited to 15 participants and you will need to wear a mask when in close proximity of others ( we will form 3 groups)
What we will cover during our walk:
-History of the original Penn Station in all its majesty
-Macy’s, Herald Square, Empire State Building and surrounding area. Macy’s Windows
-Broadway: 34th to Times Square
-Bryant Park and the old reservoir & graveyard. Bryant Park ice rink and holiday shops
-Avenue of the Americas and elevated trains. Corporate decorations
-Radio City, Rockerfeller Center and St Patrick’s Cathedral,
-Rockerfeller Center Christmas Tree and Saks 5th Avenue Windows
-Tiffany and Co.
