Burgazada "Fortress Island"; or Antigonē (Romanized) is the third largest of the Princes’ Islands.Demetrius I of Macedon, one of the Diadochi (Successors) of Alexander the Great, built a fort here and named it after his father Antigonus I Monophthalmus. The island took this name, but today is generally known by the Turks simply as "Burgaz".
We will walk around 8 km on the island. During our hike we ll have several breaks including our lunch at Madam Marta Beach, Hristos Hill and Kalpazankaya Beach. The hike is expected to take around four hours (including breaks time) with 80 metres of ascent. This is an easy hike so everybody can attend. Please wear comfortable shoes and trouser. You should bring your own lunch and at least 0,5 litre water. If you have a thermos with hot water you can enjoy your tea while relaxing in the woods of Burgazada.

Boat from Kabataş departs at 11:05 to Burgazada. This boat stops at Kadiköy and departs again to Burgazada at 11:20 to and reachs the island at 12:35.
