The food of Yunnan is the most diverse in China! Located in southwest China, Yunnan is home to over 30 of China's different ethnic minorities, which contributes to the huge variety in the food.
The flavors are diverse - spicy, sour, oily, fermented, cured, a little bit of everything. It's like a mix of Sichuan, Guizhou, Thailand, Vietnamese, and Burmese food. There's even cheese!
