A Poem of Heroes—Music of Chinese Works
The Second Pipa Concerto by Zhao Jiping was also commissioned by the National Centre for the Performing Arts and the Sydney Symphony Orchestra. Under the splashed ink rendering of the symphony Orchestra, the soft wu-nong dialect of Suzhou pingtan( story-telling and ballad singing in Suzhou dialect) is full of charm and strength, penetrating but creating a new world of east and west.
