Now in its second year, Spanish Cinema Now Protected content Dallas presents a showcase of films reflecting the breadth of styles and talent at work in Spain today, including established auteurs and emerging filmmakers from the international festival scene.
Mamifera Protected content , a comedy-drama written and directed by Liliana Torres. Maria Rodríguez Soto stars as Lola, whose unplanned pregnancy disrupts her life plans. She resists motherhood while Bruno (played by Enric Auquer) wants to be a father, forcing her to confront her fears and societal expectations as she seeks clarity on her future. This film received nominations for Best Film, Best Actress,
and Best Actor for the 17th Gaudí Awards and Maria Rodríguez Soto won a Special Jury Award for Performance at the Protected content Film & TV Festival.
