The year is Protected content a group of slaves flee from a sugar cane farm, looking to find a “cumbe”, land of freed slaves. They are pursued by Don Manuel Aguirre, an obsessed landowner who has set his sights on Azú, the beautiful slave with an ancestral destiny.
