The most classic Cartesian question, how do we know that what we see around us is the real world?

René Descartes referred to something he called the "evil demon" which he thought to have the power to hypnotize us to believe in the illusion of an external world.

nowadays there's another theory: Simulation Argument
which proposes that all of reality, including the Earth and the universe, is in fact an artificial simulation, most likely a computer simulation.

between older philosophy arguments and new scientific theories let's meet together for a nice calm philosophy discussion, we will discuss some of the most open-ended questions...

let's exchange our readings and bits of knowledge about this topic while enjoying a nice cocktail...who knows maybe at the end we can formulate a closer way to the answer!

keywords for your reading before coming:
-Cartesianism
-Modal realists
-Brain in a vat
-Simulation Argument
-simulationception

and if you didn't have time for reading any, no problems,
I will sum it up during our discussion in a "gossip girls storytelling way" :D

The place we will meet in is very nice, they have a working space and the happy hour is until 23:00, the average price for cocktails is 5 euros and they have a famous cocktail named after Carrie Bradshaw 😍🌉

See you soon
