An Evening with Music, Communication and Painting
Hi culture lovers! I hope you had a lovely summer! Here we go with our first event of the season, to get some art inspiration...
Have you ever heard about "cantos del aire"? What about improving your way to communicate your creative vision? Can you connect what's happening in the world with your paintings? Do you want to discover what mindscapes are?
This time we will be meeting three artists (music and painting) and a communication expert (member of Internations!) with InArtist:
1) "Cantos del aire: Iberian music through singing and guitar" by Laura Martinez Boj & Bernardo Rambeaud (Music performance). The old popular songs, ballads, romances, seguidillas, tonadillas, as well as many other expressions, have been a source of constant inspiration for Spanish authors of all times. "Cantos del Aire" wants to pay homage to those composers who made the song an art, playing music by Sor, Granados, Lorca and Palomo Protected content
2) " How to better communicate your creative vision" by Irene Compte (Communication). If you want to go beyond the introvert type cliché and start pushing past your fears of communicating your vision to the world, then join us in this short talk about how to best present your creative work to any audience. Together, we will reflect on simple yet effective tips that can help you become the biggest advocate for your artistic & cultural creations. Protected content
3) "Mindscapes and organizing experience” by Hannah Perry Saucier (Painting) - an American artist widely known for her paintings, mosaic and glass work that reflect the fractured nature of collecting, processing and organizing information. How does the space of the mind change as we accumulate new experiences? These “experience maps” bring the landscape into the mind, and the mind into the landscape, to reflect how at all times we find ourselves physically in the landscape, while it simultaneously exists in our mind as we perceive it. After their speeches (and your questions!) we will enjoy some drinks and appetizers... It's the occasion as well to discover this multidisciplinary art space in the heart of oldtown Barcelona, near Drassanes.
Let's welcome this new season in Art! ;)
See you there!!
