The Aces of Rhythm back @ the Astoria Tango Cluc
The Astoria Tango Club, recreates the Buenos Aires of the Protected content and Protected content every Sunday. A popular destination with Tango aficionados, the Club welcomes people interested in experiencing the best of a by-gone era.
Dine and dance in 40s-style when D'Arienzo "el Rey del compás" (the king of the beat) and his unstoppable rhythms captivated Tango dancers in Tango Salons across Argentina.
Every last Sunday of the month, the ATC, welcomes The Aces of Rhythm, that will be playing a residency for the next 12 months!
This fierce sextet, directed by Pablo Aslan, pays tribute to the music and the style of legendary band leader Juan D'Arienzo.
D'Arienzo's nickname was "The King of Rhythm" because of his unstoppable beat that created a revolution in Argentine Tango and propelled thousands of dancers to the dance floor
The sextet plays D'Arienzo's arrangements that have been transcribed from his original music.
