BALLET pas de deux only 15e!
No two & co ...
The pas de deux! Since the 18th century, here is, in the middle of the ballet show, a much awaited moment. It symbolizes the love of the couple and often takes place in a poetic atmosphere. Marius Petipa has set its structure, made of a saying, a male variation, a female variation and a coda. At the time, this allowed the male dancer, hitherto confined in a role of stooges of the solo dancer, to give a proper place to his own expression and virtuosity. The 20th century perpetuated the pas de deux tradition, evolving it into modern language.
This evolution of the pas de deux, you can appreciate during this performance on the main stage of the Conservatoire de Nice, through several excerpts of choreographies perfectly mastered by the dancers of the company.
