Do you know Yokai stories? Sorry to be a bit of a geek here but this tour is for those who love Edo period history and to those who is into the Japan folklore.
Have you ever read a book by Hiroko Yoda and Matt Alt on Japandenonium illustrated - the Yokai encyclopedias of Toriyama Sekien? If you haven’t, I highly recommend! It’s fab!!!

Anyways based on the Kappa folklore and the real story and also the fact behind - we will visit around places in Sumida river / Asakusa area with Edo period map in hand.

I will send the detailed info to participants who signed up with map + info which I have searched and collected.

If you think you are familiar with Asakusa area, you might feel that you weren’t so knowledgeable about it later on...!
