When it comes to Christmas markets in Germany, you immediately notice the Christkindlesmarkt in Nuremberg. This Christmas market is one of the best known of its kind and can refer to a rather long tradition. Already in the year Protected content Nuremberg Christkindlesmarkt was first mentioned, pre-Christmas sales fairs on the main market took place even earlier. Over the centuries, the Christkindlesmarkt in Nuremberg also experienced a varied history.
The market traders offer their goods to around Protected content decorated stalls, whose hallmarks are the red and white fabric roofs. The Market Office watches critically about the range of goods, so that even today a wide range of typical Christmas items such as Rauschgoldengel, cribs, Christmas tree decorations, "Nuremberg Plum Men" figures and candles, Nuremberg gingerbread, toys and arts and crafts can be found. Still relatively young is the offer on the "market of twin cities" on the town hall square. Here are u.a. Gera (Thuringia), Glasgow (Scotland), Atlanta (USA) or Shenzhen (China). Visitors can take a "world tour" at these stalls and buy goods. We almost forgot the Nuremberg Rostbratwürste, which are at the top of the popularity scale.
