Kaiserschmarrn, a traditional Austrian dessert, is similar to the pancake:
The dough, made from flour, milk, eggs and a little sugar and salt, is baked in a pan over medium heat in butter until the underside is firm. Then it is cut up with a wooden spoon or spatula and carefully turned repeatedly until it is done. It is sprinkled with icing sugar and served with apple sauce. Kaiserschmarrn is prepared with raisins.
The traditional preparation takes about half an hour, please prepare for it.
