CANCELLED Himalayas For the Brave
For the more adventurous nature lovers, let's discover the heart of the Himalayas.
We will travel to New Delhi by direct flight (approx Protected content and from there by overnight bus to Manali, the heart of the most fertile valley of the Himalayan foothills. We will stay at a 4 star Scottish Lodge and indulge in amazing organic local food, taste local cheese, apples, fresh figs and amazing honey, try the warm apple cider vinegar and walk through secular pine forests visit angora shawl factories and go white water rafting.
Two days later we will take a jeep ride over Protected content of winding roads through the second highest pass in the world - Tang la and descend into the capital of Ladakh - Leh. This is the highest desert in the world and it has been named The Land Of The Monasteries because of the numerous Buddhist Monasteries that date to the 5th century AD and that house some of the oldest texts and religious artefacts in the world.
We will visit the incredible Pangong Lake that lays at the border with China and rest by its serene turquoise waters and then return to Leh. From Leh we will proceed to Manali and spend the last day of the trip in New Delhi where you can indulge in the local foods, shopping, museums etc.
This trip will be a life changing experience and a chance to connect to the most majestic mountains on the planet - the Himalayas, and the culture they have cradled for thousands of years.
