Easy hike to Pointe de Marcelly
Start: Protected content Praz de Lys ( Protected content ), a couple of km north of Taninges
Climb: 2 h (or 2.5h with the lake)
Return: 2 h (or 2.5h if loop)
Altitude difference: 560 m
Difficulty: 2.5 out of Protected content hike with a ridge near the summit
We take route D907 to Taninges. From there we follow direction Morzine-Les Gets and at Pont des Gets we turn left towards Le Praz de Lys to park at the parking facing the chalet restaurant «Jean de la pipe» in Les Molliettes.
Walk along a large path towards Lac Roy. The path then follows the ridge till the base of the Peak. A steep path through the back leads to the summit.
At the top we have a magnificent view to the Valley of Giffre and the Mont Blanc.
Descent the same way or a loop.

Proper equipment (especially a pair of solid hiking shoes) is mandatory! Sun protection, hiking poles and at least 1.5 liters of water are highly recommended!
