Up to Lac de Tavaneuse on raquettes

This tour, with a possibility of a loop, offers the chance of still encountering sufficient snow.

We start near Prétairié, past Abondance,.
On the way up we pass through woods, along a stream and the chalets de Tavaneuse to reach the lake nested at the bottom of mountain peaks.
On the way back we have the option to take another route down.

I have 1 spare pair of raquettes if anyone needs one.

We need min 3 people to do the hike.
Ideally only the cars used will meet. Note special meeting time: 9h00.

Proper equipment (snow shoes and poles) is mandatory! Must have change of shoes for the car! Sun protection and water/hot drink are needed.
Once signed in, please check your mailbox Saturday PM - there may be updates on logistics, weather etc.
Those taking a ride pay the driver 0.15 CHF per km for petrol unasked. Note: due to high gasoline prices have to increase the petrol contribution.
