Improve your Storytelling Skills #33
Most people like to tell stories. How many stories have you told in your life? OK, before lockdown?
My job (speaking & communication trainer) has included creating and telling stories for years, and recently I decided to expand that focus to general storytelling, a skill that seems to be in high demand. We've been doing these online storytelling sessions since March and it's been great fun.
Freestyle: everyone is requested to bring one (up to 8 mins) story (or joke) in English. It can be true, made up, myth, metaphor, or anecdote. After each turn, we have a short round of feedback to hopefully improve your story and/or how you tell it.
Don't worry about your level of English -- we are extra patient for non-native speakers :)
Get out of your comfort zone in a safe space of fellow storytellers! Please have camera enabled, so our playing field is equal.
