NOTE: This event is in preparation for the real one, on 3 April. The purpose is to call your attention to the extensive material that will take some time to go through. If I were to post now the April event you are unlikely to see it till March.

Cybernetics is a theme close to my heart and I wish to share the excitement of revisiting this fascinating science. My father was an expert in public administration in the Protected content and a fan of Wiener's Cybernetics Protected content , book that I got when I was 19 and plan to read again for this event. A new art exhibition in Vienna, Cybernetics of the Poor, was the trigger to go back to the theme, and I discovered the amazing Falcondale Collection of talks Protected content , 10 hs of them in 9 chapters) by Prof. Stafford Beer.
We'll get together on 6 February for an overview. On 3 April, after having gone over at least some of the material, we'll discuss the relevance of cybernetics to understand the world around us. The Falcondale Collection: Protected content
